Itinerary
11:15 - 11:30am Arrival & Check-In
12pm Warm-Up
12:10pm 1km start
12:40pm 3km & 5km start
1 - 2pm FYL Community Time!
Please bring:
We will begin our warm-up at 12pm on Saturday, September 14 at Government House Park, followed by the 1km Run, then the 3km & 5km runners and walkers will head out!
While you run/walk your 5km, your Littles are welcome to join in the stroller or bike alongside you.
If you have someone staying back with them - wonderful!
If your Littles are older (6+ years) and know either myself or one of the volunteers and comfortable staying with us, they can play while you run!
Upon completion of your 5km, we will CELEBRATE and you will be welcomed with a beer (or your alternative beverage) and ice cream!
We are fortunate to have Shift Physiotherapy on-site this year! They will have cold Bubly available!
Please note, this is not a First Aid tent, however, if you have questions or concerns about nagging injuries, including but not limited to pelvic floor, make sure to ask them how they can help!
There are two parking lots at Government House Park, as well as portable toilets. However, there is no fresh water on site. All park details, including a map, can be found the City of Edmonton site via link below.
Our 5km running route begins at Government House Park and continues along the paved path, under 142 Street and all the way up to Summit Drive near 149 Street.
The 1km is a loop around the picnic sites.
The 3km is an in-and-back along the 5km route.
Route markers are along the path at 500m (1km turn), 1.5km (3km turnaround), and 2.5km (5km turnaround)!
